This is the most likely item to be missing from the case or computer, and in most cases you don't really need it, although it's nice to have for a homebuilder. On the other hand, if your case has an LED display to show the "speed" of the system make sure you have some instructions on how to set the jumpers to the correct speed. Without them you have little hope of figuring out how to do it, short of a lot of time-consuming experimentation.
