Failures related to I/O buses or serial or parallel I/O ports

Explanation: There is a malfunction related to the I/O bus, or the serial or parallel ports.

Diagnosis: This could be a problem with the I/O port hardware itself, or something connected to an I/O port. It could also be an expansion device in the PC, or the motherboard.
