My screen goes blank after a period of inactivity

Explanation: After the system is idle for a period of time, the screen turns blank, even though there is no screen saver activated on the system.

Diagnosis: The most common cause for this problem is that power management features have been enabled in the system BIOS. One of these settings controls blanking the screen or disabling the monitor after a period of inactivity.

Recommendation: Check for and disable power management settings in the system BIOS setup program.
