Troubleshooting Modems - Errors and Download Problems

Data transfers over the modem are experiencing errors, data is being lost during download, or downloaded files are being corrupted

I am experiencing pausing behavior when using my modem. Data transfers seem to stop for several seconds and then resume, either consistently or intermittently

I am having overrun problems with a high-speed external modem and suspect it is because my COM ports do not have a 16550 UART. I need to find out if they do or not, and if not, what can be done about this
