Troubleshooting the Processor

This section of the Troubleshooting Expert looks at problems related to the system processor. Bear in mind that since the system processor is the heart of the computer, problems with the processor and those with the overall system can sometimes be considered interchangeable. For example, when the system locks up, the processor is what is locking up (and vice versa). For this reason, any time you have a problem related to your processor, you should also look at the section that contains troubleshooting information for the system as a whole.

Please choose the description that best matches the problem you are having.
