Troubleshooting CD-ROM Drives - Drive Not Recognized

This section discusses troubleshooting problems where the CD-ROM drive is not recognized by the system. Since CD-ROMs are driven by software drivers, if the drive is not detected at boot time this is a good indicator of problems.
