Boot TS - Floppy Drive Seek Completes

Explanation: The floppy disk drive seek was performed correctly or was skipped due to the BIOS being told not to do it.

Diagnosis: The floppy disk drive seek is not causing the boot problem. The next step in the boot process for most newer systems is to perform dynamic autodetection of IDE devices, if your system is set to perform these.

Recommendation: Watch carefully for messages on the screen regarding IDE autodetection. The BIOS will usually display a message on the screen saying what devices it is has identified, calling them names such as "Primary Master" or "Secondary Slave". Of particular interest is the primary master drive, and making sure that it is identified correctly.

Note: Some devices may actually identify Plug and Play devices before IDE devices, so things may get a bit out of order here for you. It shouldn't matter much as long as you are careful about identifying where the boot process stops.
