Boot TS - Memory Test Fails to Start

Explanation: The system is hanging up trying to start the memory test.

Diagnosis: You should be getting an error message of some sort on the screen. If the boot stops at this stage without an error message, well, you've got me. In this situation, I would normally suspect a problem with the memory, or else the motherboard or a system device.

Recommendation:

• If there is an error message on the screen, diagnose it here.
• If there is no error message, troubleshoot as an apparent memory failure.
• If the memory is not at fault, troubleshoot as an apparent motherboard failure.
