Boot TS - Plug and Play Device Identification OK

Explanation: The system is not having a problem related to plug and play device identification.

Diagnosis: At this point, the system has completed its power-on tests and hardware identification steps. The BIOS should now display the system configuration summary, which shows all the key hardware in your system. It will then be ready to try to load the operating system.

Warning: Make sure your hard disk and floppy disks, whatever you are trying to boot, are clean of boot sector viruses or you could be very easily misled here into thinking you have a hardware problem. If you suspect your hard disk, use a clean boot floppy, if necessary created on another PC.

Recommendation:

  • Look for the configuration summary. Examine it for any hints to possible missing hardware or other problems in the PC.
  • Continue the troubleshooting session, depending on what boot sequence you have specified for the system. Make sure you check the boot sequence by going into the BIOS setup; if you assume what it is and you are wrong you may lead yourself on a wild goose chase. What is the boot sequence set to for your PC?
