Boot TS - No Video, Monitor Is OK

Explanation: The monitor is known to work but nothing is being displayed on it when the system starts booting.

Diagnosis: There is no video actually being produced by the system.

Recommendation: Determine if any sounds are coming from the PC speaker that might provide a clue as to the problem with booting. Did any sound at all come from the speaker when you tried to boot the PC, or is there any sound coming from the speaker now?

Note: A single beep sounding during the boot is normal, assuming that the boot process continues. This beep is normally heard just before the BIOS startup screen displays. A single beep with no video and a halted boot process is not normal, and usually indicates a general motherboard problem of some sort.
