June 27, 1999:

Status Update: I haven't put up the update I promised about week ago yet. I apologize for this. Due to traveling and other distractions, I haven't been able to get the changes done that I wanted to. I again hope to have this done in a few days and am working on it now. Thanks to everyone for your support, I really do appreciate it.

June 6, 1999:

Up And Running: Welcome to the new home of The PC Guide, pair networks QuickServe #36. The switch went off this morning, apparently without a hitch. If you run into anything unusual when using the site, please let me know. My hearty thanks to Matt and everyone at pair networks for their excellent service and support of The PC Guide over the past two years. I will be putting up some information about the hardware used on the server in a week or so.

June 4, 1999:

New Server: Thanks to the fine folks at pair, The PC Guide will soon be moving to its own dedicated server. I expect that this will happen on Sunday, June 6, 1999, but that date may change. Outages and/or spurious behavior of the web site are possible during the transition; thanks for your patience.
Update Coming: I am working on a new update that begins moving the site in a direction that I think a lot of you, my readers, will really appreciate. I expect that this update will be up in about a week.
