Old Site Updates - August 1998

August 23, 1998:

• New Navigation Feature: There's only one major change in this update to the site: I have begun the process of adding links from each page on the site to the one that follows it. Prior to this feature, if you wanted to read the whole site from beginning to end you could use the Topic Index, but you would have to click "Back" after reading each page. I received feedback from a number of readers suggesting that the ability to move swiftly from one page to the next directly would make the site easier to read. Therefore, I have started adding "Next" links to the bottom of each page, identified with a pointing-hand icon. This takes more time than you'd think; I've got about a third of the site done so far, from the Site Index through the end of the Processor portion of the Reference Guide. :^) I hope you find this feature useful.
