Warranty

All UPSes come with a warranty that covers the unit. Be sure to find out in advance exactly what the terms of the warranty are. Some units have better warranties than others, like all equipment. Usually, but not always, better UPSes come with longer warranties.

In addition, some UPSes come with equipment protection guarantees that promise to pay to replace equipment damaged by power problems while connected to the UPS. These are similar to comparable programs offered by surge suppressor manufacturers. Be sure to carefully read the terms and conditions on any such guarantee before assuming that it will cover your situation.
