Shadowing increases performance by copying the BIOS code from ROM to much faster system RAM. Enabling this setting will allow the system to cache this RAM as well, further increasing performance. Normally you will want to enable this unless you are having a problem with your system and turning it off fixes it. If you have system BIOS shadowing disabled, this setting will be ignored.
