Floppy Disk Interfacing and Configuration

The floppy disk controller is the piece of hardware responsible for interfacing the floppy disk drives in your PC to the rest of the system. It manages the flow of information over the interface and communicates data read from the floppies to the system processor and memory, and vice-versa.
