Updates and Future Plans

The PC Guide Disk Edition will be revised approximately quarterly. (While this was my plan from the start, and I have not been very successful with it so far, I should have better luck in 2000 and beyond. :^) Each revision is made by taking a snapshot of the on-line version of the site and making the necessary adaptations to change it into the Disk Edition. I will most likely do this after completing significant additions or revisions to the site. In particular, I will be overhauling the site once a year, meaning going through the entire site and updating it to reflect changes in the market and new PC technologies. New Disk Editions will likely be published immediately after these are done. I announce new Disk Edition versions on the web site.

Downloaded upgrades to the Disk Edition are free for those who have previously purchased it for the full price; CD-ROM upgrades are available for a significantly reduced cost. See the page discussing pricing and ordering for details.

Note: There is no obligation on my part to provide future upgrades. Availability of the Disk Edition (and The PC Guide site itself in fact) may be discontinued without notice.
