Immediate Payment Options

There are several payment options that I call immediate. These are payment methods where you end up paying for the item either before, at, or soon after the time of purchase. I consider payment that is made within about a month of the purchased to be immediate. Well, relatively immediate anyway, compared to other options that spread payments over many months or years.

In this section I talk about cash payment as well as near-cash equivalents such as personal checks, debit cards and money orders. I also talk about CODs, and the wise use of credit cards for immediate payment. Finally, I discuss online payment, a relatively new option that is gaining in popularity.
