Making The Purchase

We've decided what to buy, where we want to buy it and how we want to pay for it and deliver it. Finally we are ready to go ahead and place the order. The mechanism of actually placing the order depends a great deal on what kind of PC you are buying, and especially, the nature of the source you are using. However, there are a few important particulars to keep in mind at the time you are actually executing the order, to minimize the chances of problems further down the line.

In this section I cover the essential issues that you need to consider as you make your PC purchase. This includes an argument for why you should get a quote on PC orders (most people do not), a discussion of what information to get as you place the order, and some information on the "extras" companies try to sell you when you place an order.
