It's Not Just For Sheep Any More

A very common operation for those that work on their PCs a great deal is the "partition clone job". The goal is to duplicate, identically, an entire hard disk partition, either from one partition on the hard drive to another, or from one hard drive to another.

It is often necessary, however, if you are upgrading your computer, especially the hard drive. An identical clone of the boot partition allows a skilled PC upgrader to move to a new hard drive in a minimum of time without losing data or programs, or disrupting his or her Windows settings. Assuming they do it properly, of course!
